There are two principles I believe are the key to creating a healthy lifestyle. The first is food must taste delicious, if you do not enjoy what you’re eating, it is not sustainable in the long term. The second is that you must form a healthy relationship with food, a lifestyle of nourishing your body will allow you to let go of yo-yo dieting, strict/restrictive food rules, disordered eating, and negative thoughts towards food and towards yourself. My mission is to help you instill these principles, by creating delicious, nourishing food and fostering a healthy relationship with food.
As a foodie, my goal is to always provide the most delicious, mouth-watering recipes. As a dietitian, my goal is to provide foods that nourish both your body and your soul. I also realize that we often don’t have the time to make each meal from scratch. As a full time worker bee, my goal is to provide you with tips that I use to make meals quick and simple, as well as how to utilize food prepping and meal planning to make your life so much simpler.
My food philosophy is simple. Choose nourishing, wholesome real food most of the time. Choose foods that make you feel beautiful on the inside and out. Eat instinctively, choosing traditional, whole foods that have been around before food trends and diet dogmas began. I do not believe in “food rules” and believe all foods can fit into a healthy lifestyle. I encourage you to listen to your own body to find what foods work best for you. Read my “What I Ate Wednesday” posts to see what foods make me feel my best.
Recipes provided here do not fit any food rules. My recipes may be vegan, vegetarian, paleo, gluten-free, dairy-free, FODMAP friendly, and some recipes may not fit into any of these categories. They are simple. They are delicious. They are meant to make you feel beautiful, radiant and energized.
